Ancho is a type of chili pepper from Mexico known for its intense aromas and for its mild spiciness. It is said that the flavor of chocolate can be accentuated by partnering it with hot chili and the combination of the two is believed to have been used as early as 900 in Mayan civilizations.

Chocolate and Ancho Chili Bar by BruCo has combined prized South American cacao varietals with Mexican Ancho Chili to create this unique chocolate bar with extraordinary flavor and texture. The Ancho is embedded in a creamy milk chocolate filling (48%) and then surrounded with a cooling coating of varietal chocolate (68%). This red hot chocolate bar has been honorably mentioned in many Italian magazines and was nominated at the NASFT show in 2003 for Outstanding New Product.
